ALPOLIC®/fr is an Aluminum Composite Material with a fire-rated core produced by Mitsubishi Chemical Functional Products Inc, Japan that is used as building envelopes for exterior and interior of new buildings, renovated buildings and for other applications such as signage, ceilings and partitions, among other usages. ALPOLIC®/fr provides an innovative aspect to modern architecture through its line of quality, durable metals effectively creating sustainable construction. ALPOLIC®/fr has the following common features that stem from the coating and laminating technology:
Flatness |
: |
The continuous laminating process results in excellent flatness of the panel
with high rigidity |
Color Uniformity |
: |
The proprietary Die Coating technology which ensures complete color
consistency and ensures smoother and finer finishes without grain lines |
Rigidity |
: |
ALPOLIC®/fr is light and strong reducing the weight by 15% compared to solid
aluminum sheets with equivalent rigidity |
Workability |
: |
ALPOLIC®/fr is easy to cut, bend, groove and shape with regular aluminum
working and woodworking machines and tools |
Fire Safety |
: |
With its non-combustible mineral-filled core, ALPOLIC®/fr meets fire code
requirements in most countries including North America and Japan without any
restrictions. |
|
| ALPOLIC®/fr has a variety of colors, finishing and metals for specific usage as follows: |

- ALPOLIC®/fr-ACM (Aluminum Composite Material with Fire-rated core): Suitable to replace concrete rendering due to its modern look and feel, decreased construction timeline, and longevity of its LUMIFLON-based Fluorocarbon color coating qualities which is a cost effective solution to replace traditional building exterior. The variety of colors and finishes (i.e. Timber and Stone series) allow unlimited and innovative designs.
- ALPOLIC®/fr-SCM (Stainless Steel Composite Material with Fire-rated core): Suitable for structures that requires high durability to corrosion and rust as SCM is produced from Stainless Steel YUS 220M (a highly rust-resistant ferric stainless steel) which has outstanding rust resistance qualities to that of Stainless Steel 316 normally used in building envelopes and Solid Stainless Steel Sheets.
- ALPOLIC®/fr-CCM (Copper Composite Material with Fire-rated core): Suitable for structures that requires high durability to corrosion and rust while offering a natural copper finish with an ever-changing patina constantly evolving to add richness and depth to any building's facade
- ALPOLIC®/fr-TCM (Titanium Composite Material with Fire-rated core): Suitable for structures that require highest durability to corrosion and rust while offering Titanium's wonderfully distinctive accents. Titanium quickly forms a stable oxide film ("passivated film") at room temperature and is known for its unparalleled corrosion resistance.
- A-Look Ex (Aluminum Composite Material with Mirror-Effect): Suitable for areas that need a 'Mirror-Effect' for its mirror-like qualities, light-weight, and flexibility and workability to use as column envelopes or ceilings. A-LOOK/fr Ex uses an electroplating process that gives the material a chromium look and is subsequently coated with LUMIFLON clear coating to provide a durable finish. |

- ALPOLIC®/fr LT ACM (Aluminum Composite Material with Fire-rated core): Suitable for use on interior walls, columns, ceilings and partitions in shops, offices and factories, and for such light outdoor applications as soffits, awnings, parapets and signs. ALPOLIC®/fr LT uses a Polyester finish.
- A-Look®/fr – LT (Aluminum Composite Material with Mirror-Effect): Suitable for interior areas that need a ‘Mirror-Effect’ for its mirror-like qualities, light-weight, and flexibility and workability to use as column envelopes or ceilings. A-LOOK/fr LT uses an electroplating process that gives the material a chromium look. |
